We thought this project up quite a while ago when Symphony was actually a paid product. We wanted a content management system we could use with personal and client projects without having to pay for a Symphony license every time we used it. It was decided that we would just create our own solution to use whenever and however we wanted and, possibly, release it to the public upon completion.
Unfortunately, for the project, the Symphony team decided to release their product to the public, free of charge. We, at the time, didn't think it would be worth the time and effort to reinvent the wheel, so the project was put on hold.
Recently, though, we've come up with more and more great ideas that we would like to see implemented into Symphony that just can't easily be done. So, it has been decided to, once again, go ahead and breath life into this project to see where it takes us.
We've already come up with a great list of features for the software, but we are not yet ready at this time to reveal them to the public. Once we are, though, you will be the first ones to know.
