Great British Walks is an online website aimed at both the casual and more experienced outdoor enthusiast.
The site will allow for visitors to sign up and add their own walking, cycling or climbing routes along with some required information, their experiences and photos for other to view. When approved by an administrator, the routes will be visible on the website for other visitores to enjoy and, if logged in, comment on.
There will be a forum, using MyTopix, integrated into the site so users may share the same session details so registered members will have the ability to chat about a variety of subjects with one another.
To generate revenue, there will also be a basic shop selling maps and guides of the various areas. The product area will will draw it's information from Amazon. Dotted throughout the site will also be links to items in the online shop for Field & Trek where commission can be earned for referred sales.
